Reconditioning old furniture has been fashionable for as long as I can remember. The trend at the moment seems to be shabby chic, and these nesting tables fit perfectly into this category.

To achieve this look, the tables have been cleaned and the old varnish removed.  Old White Annie Sloan chalk paint was applied, distressed and finally protected with a transparent wax .

The neutral, soft, off-white colour played an important role in creating a simple and stylish finish.
